La Laguna Gypsy Market

One of the most beautiful places in Canggu which also gives you an opportunity to shop is La Laguna Gypsy Market. Currently, the market is undergoing a renovation and is said to be opened in 2020. As you step into this market, it feels like you’re teleported to a boho-chic beach club in Spane. The colorful furniture, cobbled pathways, rustic caravans, and the beautiful sunset view as a backdrop – all these together make an intriguing setting of La Laguna Gypsy Market. All of the products have a wide range of prices so if you are on a budget you will enjoy it here as well. Yes, not to forget, the live music that treats the shopping lovers. Here in this market, you can pick clothing items, trinkets, eco-friendly products, and a lot more. Do not forget to savor the taste of delectable fares available here.

Limited Edition

Your shopping tour in Bali is incomplete without Limited Edition. The name of this store itself tells its specialty! This small boutique store houses a rich collection of rare goods and items. Limited Edition is a monochrome-themed store selling purses and leather dresses for women. However, an interesting aspect of this shop is that the items available here are from vintage century collection. For men, the shop has a collection of scarfs and leather jackets, sunglasses, and much more.

Redz Surfboards

Another Bali outlet for all the surfers is Redz Surfboards. They exhibit a great collection of locally-based board shapers. They produce and sell their own surfboards, and for that, both the shop and factory is based in Canggu. Even if surfing is not your thing, I would personally recommend you to visit this place as they have a range of surfboards, including shortboards, Malibus, and full-carbon SUP boards. Apart from that, they also sell accessories like travel bags, tail pads, booties, and much more.

Where to stay in Canggu

When staying in Canggu you have tons of options on places to stay. Everything from budget homestays to fancy villas. Below we will walk you through our two favorite options for both middle-end and budget accommodations. We will also give you a suggestion on Luxury but we have to warn you we have never stayed there.

Canggu Dream Studios & Villas: This villa is one of the nicest villas we have ever seen. Its modern concrete design and large pool make it a perfect place to stay if you are looking for the most luxurious and relaxing place.

Umah Nugraha: This villa is almost like a homestay feel to it. A very simple but elegant place to come home and crash after a day out exploring the island. This villa comes with a pool and a really relaxing atmosphere.

Booking.com

OkBali Homestay: This is one of our favorite places to stay in Canggu. It’s super cheap and gives an amazing home feeling to us. The rooms are small and simple but when we are in Bali we are never really at the apartment. With a shared kitchen you can save a couple of extra bucks and cook your own meals while also being very close to all the hotspots. We always book this accommodation on Airbnb but make sure you reserve ahead of time. They fill up quickly.

Getting around Bali is easiest by scooter. If you are interested make sure you check out a full guide on renting a scooter in Bali.

** If you sign up to Airbnb with this link you will receive $40 off your home booking and $15 to use toward an experience.**

Although there are tons of things you should look out for in Bali these are some of the best shopping hideouts to visit in Canggu. While in Canggu, do visit these places. With a mix of both, the amazing shopping stores and the vibrant Bali markets, Canggu is a not-to-miss destination for shopping lovers. Just for you, we have also curated a shopping guide for Bali that includes all the outlets and things to buy in Bali.

The first of many posts from our trip to Costa Ric The first of many posts from our trip to Costa Rica. This was not only a much-needed trip away from the computer but a great opportunity to celebrate my 30th birthday! ⁣
⁣
This was the first trip I have ever been on that I didn’t plan a single thing. I didn’t look at any maps I didn’t care where we went, just wanted to spend some much-needed alone time with @jrherrm. ⁣
⁣
A couple of things we learned….⁣
⁣
It rains a lot in the rainforest 😂 🌧⁣
⁣
When searching for wildlife, you need to look closely or pay for a guide that has a telescope. ⁣
⁣
Make sure you bring some @western_rise clothes because they are about the only durable and quick-dry clothes that were actually able to dry with the humidity in the rain forest: Discount Code DIVERTLIVING⁣
⁣
Bring an umbrella, Rain jackets won’t cut it.⁣
⁣
When booking a rental car, just expect your price to double from what your reservation says.⁣
⁣
Spend an entire day in the hot springs, but make sure your reservation is made no later than seven days in advance⁣
⁣
Hiking shoes and water shoes are a must⁣

We just arrived in Tel Aviv and I have to say this We just arrived in Tel Aviv and I have to say this is truly one of my favorite cities I have ever visited! Every city and place in the world has positives and negatives and all of these differ by each person. When you research a city or visit a city you have to be open to knowing you will not like everything about each place.⁣
⁣
And that brings me to this point. ⁣
⁣
I hate the Negativity, the constant bad-mouthing of people and places based on a select few. To be honest, if I listened to everything I saw or heard I wouldn't travel anywhere due to rumors or fear. ⁣
⁣
If I have learned anything over the years it’s this, just because you see something on the news or a post on the internet doesn’t mean you should jump to conclusions. Make your own decisions, learn first hand what the people are like what the food is like, and come to your own conclusions. ⁣
⁣
Be open, be accepting, be courteous and be careful what you believe.⁣
⁣
The people in Israel have been nothing but incredible. I really don’t think I had one bad interaction the entire trip and I can’t wait to go back and see more!⁣

When it comes to travel and research you can spend hours researching all the best things to do and see but nothing will compare to the suggestions from locals. Almost every place I travel to I always make sure to ask all the locals we interact with what their recommendations are. ⁣
⁣
Today's recommendation led us two hours into the jungle to some pretty incredible caves and waterfalls. ⁣
⁣
I ended up leaving @steveyalo at the cave, this is the last I saw of him the whole trip. I think he may still be there doing Thai chi in the jungle⁣

Riding the chairlift up at @bristolmountain this past weekend was amazing, taking in the long ride and just enjoying the company and scenery. It was a great weekend for fall activities. ⁣
