February 21, 2020 By Jimmy Huss 4 Comments

Have you ever seen Coron Island hopping images?

Aren’t they just unreal?

Such is the exquisite charm of this one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines that not even a high-end camera could justify the surreal beauty of this place. Now after this short virtual tour of Coron Island, if you have made up your mind to add this sublime destination on your Philippines tour, let’s talk about the Coron Island Hopping Tour. After all, this is the best way to explore the gorgeous and astonishing Coron Island. In this post, I have covered all the important information that you need to plan a Coron Island tour. So, here we go!

Coron Island Hopping

Philippines Travel Note

Since it is an island hopping and you can expect to explore a number of lakes and beaches, hence, it is recommended to give plenty of time to explore the region.

Kayangan Lake

One of the most popular hideouts on the Colon Island hopping tour is the much famous Kayangan Lake. This is one of the astonishing places where you can click pictures for Instagram. Along with swimming, you can also expect to indulge in a scuba diving experience here in Kayangan Lake. Besides, you can spend some leisure time strolling and relishing the natural beauty of this place. But, I personally recommend you to visit the lake in the early hours of the morning as by 10:30 AM it gets packed with oodles of visitors.

Coron Island Hopping

Twin Lagoon

While in Coron, make sure your island tour in the Philippines includes Twin Lagoons as it is one of the most sought-after attractions in the region. The beauty of this place is breathtaking, literally. As the name itself suggests, Twin Lagoon is a pair of startling blue lagoons. But, it’s the beautiful backdrop that brings the attention of tourists to this place. The lakes are set amongst a backdrop of black, vertical, jagged karst walls. You can swim here and enjoy an amazing time here at Twin Lagoon. But like Kayangan Lake, it is best for you to visit this lake in the early morning. The entry ticket is 200 pesos. However, it is recommended to keep your ticket/s organized beforehand to avoid any hassle.

Coron Island Hopping

Barracuda Lake

Most of the island Coron island tour packages include either Kayangan Lake or Barracuda Lake. But, some operators give you a chance to explore both on their tour package. Thus, I would recommend you to choose the one which includes both the lakes. For your amusement, Barracuda Lake is one of the popular hideouts in the region amongst tourists for an ultimate diving experience. And during that experience, you can expect to catch the sight of Barracuda fish along with the limestone cliffs on the lake bed. If you are not considering diving, then do carry your life jackets (as they are mandatory here) and snorkeling gear to capture the sight of the limestone formations which is the key attraction of this lake.

Smith’s Beach

Many tourists do not consider Smith’s Beach as an important inclusion on their Coron Palawan tour, yet it is worth a visit. You can expect to spend a lovely evening here on your tour. The beach is dotted with wooden beach shacks where you can just lay and adore the pristine beauty of the surrounding. You would be amazed to know that the water of the ocean here is crystal blue which arouses a sense of curiosity amongst tourists to visit this place. There are also a number of coconut water shops. If your tour package includes Smith’s Beach, then you will spend an hour here probably in the evening and that would be enough for you to explore the gorgeous beauty of Smith’s Beach.

Coral Garden

If that’s not enough to astound you, then here is the next nature’s wonder on this list of this island hopping tour of Coron in Palawan. As the name itself says the highlight of this place, Coral Garden is known for its vibrant and awe-struck corals and marine life. Here in Coral Garden, you will get to explore these while swimming at the bottom of the water. However, as a responsible tourist, it is important to know that you do not step on any of the coral as they are very precious and need to be preserved. The best thing about this place is that the waters are so crystal clear that you can even get the sight of corals from your boat itself. Do not forget to take your cam with you so you can capture some of the most unparalleled and unreal sights of mother nature.

Coron Island Hopping

Skeleton Wreck

Last on this list is Skeleton Wreck. This popular destination is known as the home to a number of shipwrecks. However, most of these wrecks are only accessible to certified divers. There is one World War II wreck which is one of its kind in the region. To explore these wrecks, you don’t need any gear. People often prefer to just swim all the way to these wrecks. If you are an avid diver, then exploring these wrecks would definitely be an interesting activity to do here. Otherwise, you always have the option of snorkeling, which is also pretty amazing.

Where to Buy Coron Island Hopping Tour Package

Just to let you know, Coron town is situated on Busuanga Island. This is the place where all Coron Island accommodation options are available for tourists. Island hopping tours in Coron totally differ from one tour operator to another. This means that you will not find the attractions (mentioned-above) the same in all tour packages offered by the local tour operators here. Hence, I would suggest you buy your tour package offline, i.e., when here in Coron Island. You can buy the tour package either from your Coron, Palawan hotel or from a retail outlet in the town. Coron island tour rates totally differ from one operator to another as well. Thus, feel free to compare all options and then choose the best one as per your preference and budget. A day tour of Coron Island hopping usually starts from 9:00 in the morning and ends at 5:00 PM.

Coron Island Hopping

So, this is all you need to know about the Coron island hopping tour in the Philippines. I hope it would help you plan an indelible island hopping tour. I would be keen to hear about your experience in Coron, do let me know in the comment section! Enjoy!

Travel is bigger than just us taking a trip. ⁣
⁣
To me It’s about helping people, learning about the cultures, and sharing them with the world. When I first arrived on a Sunday I was walking the streets of #istanbul🇹🇷 and couldn’t find any businesses open, actually after talking to some locals they said the only businesses allowed open were government-run restaurants, shops, and stores. The locally run shops weren’t allowed open on weekends and The local Turkish people weren’t even allowed outside on Saturdays and Sundays only the tourist were. ⁣
⁣
It was was their best effort to stop the spread of Covid. A street that receives 3 million people a day is now a ghost town(swipe right). I was really worried that it would be like that the whole trip. ⁣
⁣
Now that Monday rolls around you can see life in the city again smiles in the streets, children playing and helping their siblings (swipe right). Just know that this series coming up is more than sharing what I learn but helping people that need it in a time that’s hard for everyone.⁣
⁣
Support local business, help a friend in need and be kind to everyone. You never know when you will need help.⁣
⁣
Love you all and thank you for being here supporting this community. ⁣

Went to see the sunrise and saw a snowstorm.⁣
⁣
First time in my life I got to see a snowstorm and in Asia and Europe all on the same day! Did you know this was possible?⁣
⁣
In the last 30 days, I have completely filled up a brand new 2TB hard drive. These two series are the most in-depth ones yet and I am so happy that I got to see snow and sunshine in both Serbia and Turkey all in one trip. Most of the time it takes two trips to see both sides of a city but we got to see snow in both. Ironically both snow days were on my last day in each country.⁣

Serbia blessed us with snow on the last day of the trip I’m hoping Istanbul will do the same!⁣
⁣
Feeling fresh, excited, and motivated. With the first trip of the year under the belt, I’m excited to get back home and continue to push out these two series.⁣
⁣
Where should I travel to next?⁣
⁣
@jrherrm and I will be in Puerto Rico soon so as long as things go as planned you can expect at least one video from there but if it doesn’t open in time where should we go?!⁣

I didn’t expect to see snow this trip, with the weather forecasted for rain i was going to make the most out of it and see as much as I could. I really was super lucky catching the first snowfall of the year in #belgradeserbia⁣⁣

Like most places in the world, Serbia is doing the best they can to help control Covid 19 so although New Years is normally spent staying up till 12 and ringing in the New Year with good drinks, friends, and loved ones. The cities shut down at 6 pm. ⁣
