Itaewon Nightlife – Nothing But The BEST

February 8, 2020 By Jimmy Huss

Making a list for the best nightlife for your Seoul itinerary? Put Itaewon nightlife somewhere top on that list with Hongdae. Like any other neighborhood area in Seoul, Itaewon also has a lot to offer to tourists. You can enjoy a range of experiences here in Itaewon Seoul during the day. But as the sun falls asleep, it turns out to be an altogether different place for tourists. The region is often known for its multi-national vibes because of the fact that it is home to a major chunk of expats in Seoul. The region is brimming with an altogether different culture during the night. There are hip and interesting spots where not just locals but tourists also love to spend their time in Itaewon at night. In this post, I have covered some of the best spots where you should look to go while exploring Itaewon nightlife. So, enjoy the list!

Club UN

Club UN is undoubtedly one of the best clubs in Itaewon and is one of the most highly rated Itaewon clubs not just amongst locals but international tourists as well. If you want to spend your night amidst dim and pleasant music with no party vibes, then this is the right place for you to be while on a South Korean nightlife tour in Itaewon, Seoul. The ambiance is perfect for those peace lovers and the prices of drinks are quite reasonable and can fit under your budget.

Address

127-2 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Saturday from 7:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Gecko’s Terrace

If you are looking for an ideal hangout place in the Itaewon area during the night, then Gecko’s Terrace is the perfect bet. The place remains dotted with oodles of expats. They have a bar that sells a wide range of drinks and trust me, you would love to try some. Since the place remains packed with expats, you can talk with some about their experience and living in Seoul.

Address

128-5 Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 AM to 1:00 AM, and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 3:00 AM

Itaewon Nightlife

Route 66

Route 66 is probably one of the most popular hideouts where a large chunk of people visit during the night time. After all, such is the compelling charm of this place. This is basically an American bar which I am sure you wouldn’t want to miss while on an Itaewon nightlife tour in South Korea. Their menu consists of a wide range of delicious pizzas, sandwiches, subs, fries, and wings that go best with their craft beer (if you drink it) or long island ice teas ( for those who don’t drink beer). Along with dining, drinks, and darts, you can also dance at this place on weekends. They have live music, quiz nights and dancing on special days. If you are with your friends, then indeed you will make the most of this place. Even if you’re on a solo trip, then also you have fun at this place.

Address

72-32 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Saturday from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM

Prost and Glam

For all the socialites and party lovers, Prost and Glam is the perfect spot to enjoy your time in Itaewon during the night. It is a pub where you can see visitors mostly young and stylish Koreans. You can indulge in a conversation and learn about Seoul and South Korea from them. Inside this pub, there are a number of bars, one of which is called Glam. Glam is probably one of the best Itaewon bars I visited in Seoul. The bar is altogether a different venue inside of this place and is more upscale. While being here, you can enjoy a wide range of alcohol, even the most expensive ones.

Address

26 Itaewon-ro 27ga-gil, Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Thursday from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 5:30 PM

The Wolfhound Irish Pub and Restaurant

If you are an Irish, then surely this place would feel like home to you on your Seoul nightlife tour. But if you are not, then it doesn’t matter, a visit to this place will still be fun and appealing like for an Irish person. Since it is Irish, you can expect to catch all international rugby matches here at this restaurant cum pub. It is situated on two levels with plenty of TV screens where you can watch rugby matches. Besides, there is also a pool table along with darts for all those who’re interested in playing pub games. Not just the fun aspect, but this place is also known for its wide range of delicacies which also include some Irish ones. They also have Korean beers that go well with the food they serve. The best part about this place is that it remains open till early morning. So, you can have all that fun while most of the people in Seoul are sleeping and snoring.

Address

128-6 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu | Paemgseong-eup, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Enjoy Street Food

No nightlife in Seoul is completed without exploring the Korean food culture. Like any other neighborhood in Seoul, Itaewon is also dotted with tons of food stalls that serve some delectable and cheap Korean food. These stalls can be found right across the street from the pubs. However, if compared to the cheap eats in Myeongdonhg, Hongdae, Gangnam or any other region, you will not find many popular food joints in Itaewon. Still, you can rely on them for delicious tastes.

Itaewon nightlife

Hamilton Shopping Mall

I am assuming, you must be expecting an Itaewon shopping tour on this nightlife expedition, right? If so, then this is the right place to be. Hamilton Shopping Mall is one of the top shopping centers in Itaewon, South Korea. It is located right next to the Hamilton Hotel in the heart of Itaewon. The mall sprawls on four floors. Here you can find a wide range of products ranging from cheap clothes, small gadgets, and souvenirs to take back home for friends and family. However, do not dare to make a mistake by assuming that shopping in Hamilton Shopping Mall is just restricted to these. There is much more to buy from this place.

Address

179 Itaewon-ro, Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Opening Hours

Sunday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Whether this is your first trip to Seoul or you have visited earlier, you cannot skip Itaewon bars and clubs. Itaewon and Hongdae are known to offer some of the lesser-known, yet the interesting experiences to tours, its vibrant nightlife is just one of them. So, make sure you make the most of it!

The first of many posts from our trip to Costa Ric The first of many posts from our trip to Costa Rica. This was not only a much-needed trip away from the computer but a great opportunity to celebrate my 30th birthday! ⁣
⁣
This was the first trip I have ever been on that I didn’t plan a single thing. I didn’t look at any maps I didn’t care where we went, just wanted to spend some much-needed alone time with @jrherrm. ⁣
⁣
A couple of things we learned….⁣
⁣
It rains a lot in the rainforest 😂 🌧⁣
⁣
When searching for wildlife, you need to look closely or pay for a guide that has a telescope. ⁣
⁣
Make sure you bring some @western_rise clothes because they are about the only durable and quick-dry clothes that were actually able to dry with the humidity in the rain forest: Discount Code DIVERTLIVING⁣
⁣
Bring an umbrella, Rain jackets won’t cut it.⁣
⁣
When booking a rental car, just expect your price to double from what your reservation says.⁣
⁣
Spend an entire day in the hot springs, but make sure your reservation is made no later than seven days in advance⁣
⁣
Hiking shoes and water shoes are a must⁣

We just arrived in Tel Aviv and I have to say this We just arrived in Tel Aviv and I have to say this is truly one of my favorite cities I have ever visited! Every city and place in the world has positives and negatives and all of these differ by each person. When you research a city or visit a city you have to be open to knowing you will not like everything about each place.⁣
⁣
And that brings me to this point. ⁣
⁣
I hate the Negativity, the constant bad-mouthing of people and places based on a select few. To be honest, if I listened to everything I saw or heard I wouldn't travel anywhere due to rumors or fear. ⁣
⁣
If I have learned anything over the years it’s this, just because you see something on the news or a post on the internet doesn’t mean you should jump to conclusions. Make your own decisions, learn first hand what the people are like what the food is like, and come to your own conclusions. ⁣
⁣
Be open, be accepting, be courteous and be careful what you believe.⁣
⁣
The people in Israel have been nothing but incredible. I really don’t think I had one bad interaction the entire trip and I can’t wait to go back and see more!⁣

When it comes to travel and research you can spend hours researching all the best things to do and see but nothing will compare to the suggestions from locals. Almost every place I travel to I always make sure to ask all the locals we interact with what their recommendations are. ⁣
⁣
Today's recommendation led us two hours into the jungle to some pretty incredible caves and waterfalls. ⁣
⁣
I ended up leaving @steveyalo at the cave, this is the last I saw of him the whole trip. I think he may still be there doing Thai chi in the jungle⁣

Riding the chairlift up at @bristolmountain this past weekend was amazing, taking in the long ride and just enjoying the company and scenery. It was a great weekend for fall activities. ⁣
