The Best Cebu Waterfalls

Kawasan Falls

Kawasan Falls is probably the most astonishing waterfalls in Cebu and that too for good reason. Located in the town of Badian, Kawasan Falls is a perfect stopover for all those traveling to Moalboal or Oslob. It is just a 15-minute walk away from the road. The best thing about this waterfall is that you can swim here in the azure waters of a pool formed by the cascading water. If you want to be more adventurous, then try jumping off rocks right by the falls. If you are keenly looking to indulge in canyoneering in Cebu, Kawasan Falls is the right place to be. For your safety get a guide and, you don’t just get to perform canyoneering, but also hiking through the jungle until to the waterfall site, jumping off cliffs, and swimming in cold water.

Moalboal Itinerary

Cambais Falls

Yet another exotic waterfall location in Cebu is Cambais Falls. Situated in the much-famous town of Alegria It is located just an hour’s drive away from the Moalboal sardine run. At the Cambais Falls site, there are a number of waterfalls and different cliff jumping levels. The first level has a huge pool of blue water that flows gently over the boulders and limestone cliffs. On the first level, you can also explore small caves or rocks. Whereas, the second level is a bit challenging to reach. There is a pre-installed rope that is installed against the stone. This Cebu waterfall site even has a smaller pool to walk through the ladder (made of bamboo) to climb all the way up to the second level.

Tumalog Falls

Located in the town of Oslob, Tumalog Falls is a popular hangout spot in Cebu, Philippines. You can expect the exact same beauty of tranquillity as Kawasan Falls here at Tumalog Falls. But, what lures the tourist here the most is the shark-watching adventure. There is a gorgeous swimming hole at the bottom where you can spend some quality time with friends and family. You would be amazed to know that the pool is home to Garra Ruffa fish. These are the fishes that are used for fish spas. This means you can take a fish massage while swimming at this popular falls in Cebu.

** Traveling from one island to another is super easy in the Philippines that why we suggest while you are in southern Cebu you make sure to visit the surrounding islands like Dumaguete and Siquijor. They also offer some incredible waterfalls you don’t want to miss.**

Cebu Waterfalls

Dao Falls

Dao Falls is one of the underrated waterfall sites in Cebu. Kawasan Falls is one of the most astonishing waterfalls in the region which is flocked by oodles of tourists every day. But not many people know that Dao Falls is one of those waterfalls which is equally charming and spectacular. It is the tallest set of falls located in the Samboan region. In order to reach the waterfall site, one needs to indulge in a jungle trail trek which is an amazing adventure in itself. If you just want to go for a waterfall hopping, then the best way to make your day by visiting Aguinid Falls and Binalayan Hidden Falls along with Dao Falls.

Inambakan Waterfalls

This is one of our favorite Cebu Waterfalls. Not only is it less known but it offers multiple levels to really avoid seeing anyone. Although the lower level is beautiful and that amazing blue color everyone is looking for we think that the upper level is one of the best parts. After a 20 minute hike up the side of the cliff, you reach the highest point of all the falls. This is where you can jump and swim. Its really an amazing place to spend the afternoon.

Cebu Waterfalls

Aguinid Falls

If you indulge in the adventure right away, then there isn’t a better place than Aguinid Falls. Aguinid Falls is a set of five waterfalls. The expedition to the waterfall involves moderate trekking that passes through the forest, small waterfalls, and pools. In order to visit this waterfall, you’ll have to hire a guide. The trek to the waterfall is quite challenging, yet it is fun to indulge in. There is even a small cave which is located in the middle of the rock. Like most of the waterfall, here is also a small pool where you can take a dig into the azure water.

What to Pack When Visiting Waterfalls in Cebu

Like El Nido, if your visit to any waterfall in Cebu can turn out to be an unpleasant experience if you have not given the extra care to what to bring on your visit to a waterfall site. Here I have included some of the must-pack things while planning a visit to a waterfall in Cebu, Philippines.

Swimsuit

Well, I know this is one thing which is inevitable when it comes to visiting Cebu falls. But, it’s a reminder to tell you that you cannot forget this essential. Pick something which you feel comfortable while wearing.

Quick Dry Towel

It obvious, you are going to take a dip into the water. Hence, it is important to take alightweight, quick-dry towel so that you can use it over and over for the entire day.

Cebu Waterfalls

Shoes

Shoes are one of the most essential things you need to take with you while visiting Cebu waterfalls. Now, it’s up to you which shoes you are perfect for you and you are comfortable in. The best ones are these water shoes.

Cebu Waterfalls

Waterproof Bag

To keep all these things, you ‘ll need a bag which is waterproof. Along with the above essentials, you will also be taking your camera with you, hence, having a waterproof bag is also an essential thing to keep with you while visiting waterfalls in Cebu. Trust me you don’t want to make the mistake and ruin all your belongings.

Cebu Waterfalls

These are some of the best waterfall sites in Cebu that you should visit on your next trip. Since all these waterfalls boast an exotic setting, it is important to make the most of your waterfall visit by capturing all the moments in your camera lenses to cherish them for a long time.

Sometimes you have to look at things from a differ Sometimes you have to look at things from a different perspective in order to see what you hoped for. As you travel getting to locations early is a must for me, being able to capture places and people without having the mass crowds is hard if you aren’t an early bird. It took a little bit of waiting to get the right shots but it was well worth the wait 😍⁣

It all started with a culture shock, a feeling of It all started with a culture shock, a feeling of uncertainty, the feeling of something new. For me travel, all started in 2016 when I was first stationed in South Korea. I got off the plane at 11 PM and had no clue what to expect, what to eat, or how to get around or find my way. This was the turning point in my life. The point that forced me outside of my comfort zone, pushed me to be a better person and learn something new. ⁣
⁣
When I travel people ask me how I choose destinations. It used to be based on cost, where I could go that was cheapest, while still allowing me to step outside of my comfort zone. Now it's based on experience, although I was hoping for more vibrant wildlife Costa Rica was a place that allowed me to not only put myself and @jrherrm in a completely new situation but see some of the most beautiful birds we have ever seen. ⁣

I have to say La Fortuna was my favorite place we I have to say La Fortuna was my favorite place we visited in Costa Rica Full of incredible sites, beautiful wildlife, and the sounds of waterfalls and nature around every corner. One of the coolest parts about La Fortuna is right in the center of town is there is Parroquia San Juan Bosco. This is a small church where on a clear day you can see Arenal Volcano steaming in the back!⁣
⁣
The plan is to visit again, but this time I think we will head to deep into the rainforest where things are a little bit more undeveloped and hard to reach.⁣
